摘  要  新世纪海外华侨华人在规模、实力等方面发生巨大变化，这一群体的重要性与日俱增。新时代对华侨华人研究、华侨华人文献收藏提出了新的要求，我们要在其研究范围、研究方法和研究深度上全面应对。第六届海外华人研究与文献收藏机构国际会议对此作出了新探索的尝试。

Abstract:  Great changes have occurred in the scale, strength and other aspects of Chinese Overseas in the new century, the importance of this group is increasing day by day. The new era brings forward new claim for Chinese Overseas Studies and Literature Collection for Chinese Overseas.We should comprehensively deal with the research scope, research methods and research depth.The 6th International Conference of Institutes & Libraries for Chinese Overseas Studies has made a new attempt to explore this.
