再现南洋研究新面向：以许云樵的中医药研究为例

摘要：南洋研究从史地考证出发，扩展至关注政治、经济、社会、族群等议题。许云樵从古史地理踏入传统医药，于学统建立和大众普及雨个层面，剖析、形塑南洋区域的传统医药。其医药研究，一方面凸显他倡导的南洋研究作为专学发展的方式和旨趣，另一方面，其内容和转向亦反映出新加坡建国前后的现代化建设、国族认同等社会背景对海外中医药发质的影响。

Rediscovering anyang Studies from a New Perspective: A Case Study of Hsu Yun-Tsiao's Research on Chinese Medicine

Abstract: Nanyang Studies was established as a field of research centring on the history and geography of Southeast Asia and has been expanded to the studies of Southeast Asia from political, economic, social and ethnic perspectives. Hsu Yun-siao's interest in traditional medicine had been piqued as he scrutinized ancient Chinese medicine texts related to Southeast Asia for his historical-geograph-ical studies. Hu's efforts in medical research have shaped Singapore's Chinese medicine by delineating the academic lineage of Nanyang Medicine and promoting the popularization of Chinese medicine. On the one hand, through this medicinal perspective, Hsu exemplified the need of developing Nanyang Studies as a specific field with unique methodologies and new materials. On the other hand, the content change and the shift in focus in Hu's research reflect the influence of the changing local context—including the modernization of Singapore, the formation of a nation state and the construction of a local identity— on the development of Chinese medicine in Singapore.
